Cara Lauria is a masters student in Environmental Studies. Her goals as a masters student are to integrate both of her passions: geology and philosophy into her research while at CU. Cara graduated from College of Charleston with a B.S. in Geology and minors in Environmental Studies and Spanish. She is now beginning her thesis research on paleo-reconstructions of nitrogen of an alpine lake in Grand Teton National Park. She hopes these findings will help in development of policies regarding anthropogenic nitrogen inputs and provide context and understanding of humanity's impact on the nitrogen cycle.
