Homepage Jimmy Hague is a first year graduate student at the University of Colorado-Boulder pursuing an M.S. in environmental studies and the Certificate in Science and Technology Policy. His interests are in decision making in science and technology issues broadly. He hopes to return to science and technology policy work at the federal level after graduation.
Jimmy graduated in 2000 from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a B.S. in physics and in 2002 with an M.S. in astronomy from the University of Maryland. While completing his studies at the University of Maryland, Jimmy interned with the Committee on Science of the U.S. House of Representatives. After graduation he joined the Science Committee staff of the Subcommittee on Research. He helped execute the Committee’s oversight responsibilities of federal research and development efforts, particularly at the National Science Foundation. Then, after nearly 3 years on Capitol Hill, Jimmy enrolled at the University of Colorado to learn more about decision making and science and technology policy.
Outside of academics, Jimmy enjoys being a member of the University’s United Government of Graduate Students, participating in departmental student groups, and being a former DC resident in the idyllic Boulder setting.
