Shali Mohleji is a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Studies. Shali graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, concentration in Atmospheric Sciences. She received her M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from Purdue University. Following Purdue, she worked in private industry as an environmental consultant specializing in air pollution projects as well as homeland security projects.
Since becoming a student at the Center, Shali has spent two summers interning at the Office of Management and Budget. Her interests are in the federal budget process, agency management, and science funding. Shali’s research assesses the decision making process for homeland security R&D, specifically the processes used by decision makers to evaluate, prioritize, and fund countermeasure R&D.
