Lisa Dilling, Faculty member in Environmental Studies Department at University of Colorado-Boulder, will be giving a Seminar in Environmental Engineering titled "Creating a climate for Change: Rethinking communication and climate change" on February 8, 2008 at 11:00 am.

Location: ECCE 1B41, a classroom (number 41) on the ground floor (1B) of the Civil Engineering (CE) wing of the Engineering Center (EC).

Abstract: Scientists are increasingly pointing to the urgency of the responding to global warming, and yet our societal actions are as yet, ineffective at meeting the challenge. What has worked in communicating about climate change in such a way that it can facilitate social action? What hurdles remain?
