Climate Change: What does it mean to the Denver region? November 20, 2008 What are different perspectives on climate change? How might climate change impact Colorado and the Denver region? What are possible strategies for managing carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions at the regional and local level? What are potential costs, benefits, and societal impacts of policy proposals? Come hear a discussion of these questions and more at the DRCOG Climate Change Breakfast Forum. Four speakers will present: Stephen Saunders (Rocky Mountain Climate Organization) will discuss recommendations from RMCO's blue-ribbon Climate Action Panel. James Taylor (Senior Fellow, Environmental Policy, Heartland Institute) will discuss free market concerns with regard to climate change policy. Brad Udall (Director of the CU-NOAA Western Water Assessment) will discuss a recently released report covering Colorado climate and water concerns. Lisa Dilling (CU Center for Science and Technology Policy Research) will discuss carbon management strategies.
