U.S. Science Policy refers to the interactions of scientists and their public and private patrons. Typically, in the U.S. , it refers to decisions made by the federal government about funding, goals, mechanisms and organization of myriad agencies that enlist science in support of their missions in the national interest. More broadly, it refers to science-related decisions in the private sector, and at other levels of government, and the interactions between them.

Essential Reading provides links to available reports on science policy that are part of current and ongoing decision making. Over the longer term I plan to make available a comprehensive bibliography on science policy.
