Advocacy at CU with Alex Loyd, University of Colorado, Office of University Counsel

Working at the science-policy interface these days, many faculty, staff and graduate students have questions about the rules and conventions on what is appropriate advocacy within their roles at CU. Alex Loyd will map out the legal contours of these considerations and answer questions that participants may have. We will then discuss advocacy and activism more broadly in contemporary times.

Friday, October 27 2:00-3:30pm
Tapping into Funding Opportunities with Eric Carlson, CU Boulder Research & Innovation Office (RIO)

Who would like to earn funding for research? Focusing on science-policy opportunities, Eric Carlson will walk participants through SPINplus funding database that is available through RIO at CU. It is a web-based, searchable database available to all CU Boulder faculty, staff, and students. Users can perform and save funding searches and create their own weekly email funding alert (CU Boulder login required). Eric will provide insights on how to efficiently find funding sources and he will field questions that participants may have about the funding process.
