Maxwell T. Boykoff is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Science and Technology Policy, which is part of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He teaches in the Environmental Studies program and is Adjunct faculty in the Geography Department. In addition, Max is a Senior Visiting Research Associate in the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from the University of California-Santa Cruz and Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology from The Ohio State University. Max has ongoing interests in climate adaptation, cultural politics and environmental governance, science-policy interactions, and political economy and the environment, and he has experience working in North America, Central America, South Asia and Europe. |

Beth Osnes is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Colorado. As co-founder of Mothers Acting Up, she toured a program in partnership with Philanthropiece Foundation entitled, The (M)other Tour, to locations around the world to create a global community of mothers moving from concern to action on behalf of their most passionate concerns. In conjunction with this program she is developing a methodology specific to energy justice using theatre as a tool to include the voices of the energy poor in the planning and implementation of development projects in Panama, Guatemala, India and the Navajo Nation. She presented on that work at the World Renewable Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi in 2010. She has conducted field research as a Fulbright Scholar in Malaysia. She has published books and many articles on women's vocal empowerment, mothering, activism, and the performing arts. She is featured in the award-winning documentary, Mother: Caring for 7 Billion. |

Becca Safran is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado-Boulder. As an evolutionary biologist, Safran’s interests are focused on the process of biodiversity evolution, in particular, the interface of fine-scale within-population dynamics and their consequences across closely related populations. Her lab group works on a variety of projects related to the physiological, behavioral and ecological and climate factors that influence genomic divergence among closely related populations. Funded by the National Science Foundation through several grants including CAREER award, Safran’s research has appeared in Science, Current Biology, and Trends in Ecology and Evolution and many other publications related to evolutionary ecology and genetics. Each fall Safran has taught a course on the interface of climate change and filmmaking where students are asked to present their views on climate change in several 5-minute short films. |

Joshua Rollins an actor and writer currently pursuing an MA in Theatre at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Before moving to Boulder, his full-length play Bathtub Medea was workshopped with Devanaughn Theatre in Boston. He had numerous one-acts produced by Devanaughn, Boston Playwrights Theatre, the Boston Theatre Marathon, and Essayons Theatre. His play American Rex was a finalist for the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Center's Summer Conference and had a staged reading off-Broadway with Alchemy Theatre. It will be produced later this year in Chicago. In Chicago, Joshua has had numerous one acts produced with The Artistic Home, American Blues Theatre, and American Theatre Company. His full-length play Postscript, was showcased as part of Chicago Dramatists acclaimed Saturday Series of New Work, and last summer Joshua's A Girl With Sun in Her Eyes was produced by Pine Box Theater Company at The Second Stage in Chicago, directed by Matthew Miller. It will have subsequent productions this year in Los Angeles and Sydney, Australia. As an actor, he has appeared in many films, commercials, television, and theatre roles including The Dark Knight, Contagion, The Lake House (All for Warner Brothers), Awake, Killshot (The Weinstein Company), and roles with The Gift Theatre, Steppenwolf, Timeline Theatre, and many others. |
