Joshua Rollins an actor and writer currently pursuing an MA in Theatre at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Before moving to Boulder, his full-length play Bathtub Medea was workshopped with Devanaughn Theatre in Boston. He had numerous one-acts produced by Devanaughn, Boston Playwrights Theatre, the Boston Theatre Marathon, and Essayons Theatre. His play American Rex was a finalist for the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Center's Summer Conference and had a staged reading off-Broadway with Alchemy Theatre. It will be produced later this year in Chicago. In Chicago, Joshua has had numerous one acts produced with The Artistic Home, American Blues Theatre, and American Theatre Company. His full-length play Postscript, was showcased as part of Chicago Dramatists acclaimed Saturday Series of New Work, and last summer Joshua's A Girl With Sun in Her Eyes was produced by Pine Box Theater Company at The Second Stage in Chicago, directed by Matthew Miller. It will have subsequent productions this year in Los Angeles and Sydney, Australia. As an actor, he has appeared in many films, commercials, television, and theatre roles including The Dark Knight, Contagion, The Lake House (All for Warner Brothers), Awake, Killshot (The Weinstein Company), and roles with The Gift Theatre, Steppenwolf, Timeline Theatre, and many others. |
