Just throw money at it and "something good" will spin off. But, alas, physics is a cruel part of reality. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory has been droning on in Golden, your own backyard, for about 40 years now, spending vast sums of money. It would be interesting to see a list of their accomplishments. How much closer are we to implementing "renewable energy," as a result of their work? Have we found any new types of renewable energy that were not known in 1700? Obviously, there have been no real economic breakthroughs, or else we would be awash in renewable energy right now. And just what do we expect from an INTERNATIONAL body? I guess it will create jobs, and who knows, they just might stumble upon a technology that doesn't have to conform to the laws of thermodynamics. I hope the USA stays out of this one, but I doubt we will... Good Grief, our society never learns that there is no magic when it comes to energy.
