Kate Stansfield is a graduate student in the department of Psychology & Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder and works within the Behavioral Neuroscience program. She is in Michael Saddoris' lab where they research the ways in which chronic exposure to drugs of abuse alter the neural circuitry of the brain, particularly in mesolimbic structures that are consistently recruited by normal learning pathways.

She holds a BS from the University of Vermont where she majored in Neuroscience with a minor in mathematics. When not in the lab, Kate enjoys mountain biking, skiing, playing kickball, and hanging out with her adorable puppy Layla.
