It's important to use what knowledge we have in generating policy choices. But the second sentence doesn't necessarily follow from the first-- I would hope that a blog on climate policy would be all about discussing the relative merits of different options. I would think with the excellent group of commenters on board that is what they will be headed toward. So maybe that's just a vague sentence.. On the other hand, if it means that the blog is aimed at simply putting out context-free climate change information, then the "loading dock" might indeed be an appropriate analogy...
