CSTPR and Environmental Studies Graduate Student David Cherney received the 2008-2009 CIRES Graduate Student Seminar Series "Best Talk" Award.

Betsy Failey

CSTPR and Environmental Studies Graduate Student Betsy Failey was awarded a Student Travel Grant from the American Geophysical Union to attend the 2008 AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco, CA, where she presented a poster titled "Understanding Human Decision Making as a Driver for Carbon Sequestration on Land."  Betsy was also awarded a Student Travel Grant from the North American Carbon Program to attend the 2009 2nd NACP All-Investigators Meeting in San Diego, as well as a Student Travel Grant from the University of Colorado at Boulder Environmental Studies Program and Center for Science and Technology Policy Research to travel to Copenhagen for The International Scientific Congress on Climate Change.  Betsy was accepted to the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business in the dual MBA/MS Environmental Studies program.
